w'sup people...

jus posting for the sole sake of posting, cause havnt posted for a long time.

so hi everyone.

and hi blog.

guess what happened yesterday. guess. no, im serious, guess what happened yesterday. something happened which you all would not have guessed. my television was stolen.

yup, its true. this guy came into our house wearing this PHILIPS uniform claiming he can fix our television, but, after that, he said he has to bring it back to the workshop to change the display panel or something.

and with that, he took off with my 32" LCD TV.

so now, im alone at home, bored stiff from doing mathematics problems, and blogging. i asked my mom if she could give me the password for the computer, cause i needed some entertainment, and was literally being driven into madness being alone at home without a single form of entertainment.

strangely, my mother allowed me to use the computer. after calling me ten minutes later. and in that ten minutes something wierd happened. after hanging up, i went to the kitchen, took a packet of crisps, went back to the room, sat down, munched on a few crisps, suddenly had an urge of destroying something, switched on the computer, and jabbed in a few buttons.

lord, behold, it was the correct password. and then my mother called. and here i am.

so anyway, gotta go soon. best of luck for all your exams anyway.

bye!

god, my mind is going crazy...

i mean, nowadays, i got those crazy times when i would think of a lot of stuff, all at once, which makes me soooo exhausted.

like, for example, blogging. i would think of blogging about the speech day rehearsal i had jus now, and my brain automatically thinks of pointers i should include in my post. then, i would think about another thing to blog about, the problems i am facing now, and brain starts automatically listing down all of them, which makes me feel down.

not only that, i had an inspiration to write about my yearning to have a cat, but that sends me to missing my uncle's cat and remembering enviously about naufal's and suharti's cats. i even began to design a poster on cats, but since i had no mood, it turned out horrible.

and just in blogging, i have three crazy things to think about. like, i have a life, and i would start thinking about EVERYTHING i do in life. OMG. i dont think i can take it.

but, im a guy, and most importantly, im basyar. i can control this.

i need sleep. its the only thing which works against this...

i got another question to think about...

i told my mom about riyaas lending me the guitar to bring home, and asked whether anything was wrong with playing musical instruments in islam. she just said (not blabber) something about the prophet only allowing the drum thing, but not stringed instruments. so i (actually my mom asked me) went to research about this topic online.

interestingly, the first website i got after searching in google is in wikipedia (click on the link to find out more). why wikipedia? a quote caught my attention: "Islamic views on the allowance of musical instruments and singing"

i got a lot of interisting information which gave me the idea to blog it out. first of all, a quote from the prophet himself: "There will be among my Ummah people who will regard as permissible adultery, silk, alcohol and musical instruments." Does this quote refer to instruments other than percussion ones? Or the whole variety of musical instruments? If the latter were true, what about the drumming stuff the prophet listened to, played by his fellow followers?

driven by these questions, i delved deeper....

i found out that there were different types of islamic music around the world. some such examples are the nasheed and sufi music. unfortunately, this doesn't answer my question.

so i delved even deeper. again.

i found out that some beleive that only vocal music is permissible and other instruments are forbidden. most muslim scholars say that since the Qur'an and the sayings of the prophet are against music, music should be forbidden.

some other muslims accept only drums.

yet others still say that instruments are allowed as long as it does not use any sinful acts or anything bad. this is agreed by modern muslim scholars.

in islam, the prophet mentioned that if there were to be anyhting a person is unsure of, about whether the thing is allowed or not, it is advised not to carry on with it.

weirdly, this does not answer my question. so is the playing of guitar allowed or not?????

what do you people think?
